Please use this application if you currently hold a state substitute or initial, standard, or professional teaching license from the Nebraska Department of Education. 

Substitute teachers must possess a valid Nebraska teaching certification and have the following skills: knowledge of classroom instruction and supervision, ability to work with others, flexibility in job assignments, and be dependable and punctual.  All substitute teacher candidates will be selected after an interview process. 

Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay for the 2025-2026 year: $170.00 per day; $190.00 per day for long-term substitute positions.
